EXTRACTS FROM OPINION, DATED DECEMBER 23, 2023:
“To this day I am a surgeon in Thessaloniki and in Athens.
Over the last 40 years that I have been a surgeon, in Germany as well as in Greece, I have performed over 4,000 bloodless surgeries, not only on Jehovah’s Witnesses, but also on non-Witnesses as well, many times difficult operations!”
“I have also many times treated children of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The cooperation with the parents is excellent, because the parents love their children very much, making great sacrifices for them, even when they are financially sore and eventually they have good results because they help each other a lot.
Jehovah’s Witnesses are well informed patients regarding non-blood management, they are cooperative, calm and peaceful people. Also, the fact that they do not smoke or use heavy drugs and are moderate in their consumption of alcohol has a positive effect during the surgery as well as during the postoperative process.
Generally, I would say Jehovah’s Witnesses, love life and do whatever is sensible to extend it. They seek quality medical treatment and accept the overwhelming majority of medical treatments!” (Original in Greek.)
